St Michael's has had a rugby team since 2014. A lot of our students play rugby outside of the school so that is a big help. We also get a lot of girls who don't play any sports, and they generally only play Tag rugby.
St Michael's has hosted the Loreto School's Tag Rugby Blitz on two occasions; with both Senior and Junior teams winning it on several occasions. This year both the Senior and Junior teams won the Loreto Tag Blitz when it was hosted by Loreto Bray.
This year we have Senior and Junior teams competing in the Leinster Rugby schools league, with our unbeaten Junior team making it into the Leinster regional finals. The girls train on a Wednesday lunchtime, weather permitting.
