Last weekend saw the inaugural running of the Declan Nannery Memorial Basketball Tournament. Declan was a much loved founder member of the Navan Cougars Club and our school’s home games referee for many years. Pictured last Saturday are Ciaran (Declan’s son), Kate Barry (TY student and member of Navan Cougars) and Aoife ( Declan’s daughter). Aoife is also a former Head Girl of Loreto St Michael’s. It was such a fitting way to remember and celebrate Declan’s life with all proceeds from the tournament going to The Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses and Brain Tumour Ireland.
